BD-1 LED Board — Assembly Instructions

The BD-1 High Density Rear LED Board provides the dense, screen-accurate rear lighting for a BD-1 droid build in a compact footprint.

What’s included

  • 1 × BD-1 high-density rear LED board

What you’ll also need

  • A controller for the LEDs (Arduino Nano, Teensy or Pi Pico-class board). Sample code uses the WS2812 / NeoPixel / FastLED libraries.
  • A clean 5 V power supply — these LEDs are 5 V only; do not run them at 6 V.
  • 2.54 mm 3-pin Dupont jumper cables (standard 3-pin servo style).

Assembly

[Draft — step-by-step photos and exact wiring to be added.]

  1. Mount the board to the BD-1 rear shell. [VERIFY: fixing method / orientation.]
  2. Connect 5 V and GND from your power supply. [VERIFY: pad reference.]
  3. Connect the data line from your controller to the board’s data-in. [VERIFY: pin.]
  4. Test with the sample code before final assembly.
